Revamped Gasoline and Diesel Tax Administration Bill Passed by House
HB 2925 from District 55 Representative Hugh Shine is aimed at correcting administration of gasoline and diesel fuel motor fuels taxes and the fee on the delivery of certain petroleum products by adding a reporting requirement on purchases of fuel for export that is subsequently resold.
The bill originated because of concerns that some oil industry practices in gasoline and diesel fuel exports may result in the state collecting less money in taxes than the state is due.
