Tennessee Shipper Admits Improper Radioactive Containers To Midland Companies
A Tennessee company has admitted it failed to properly test containers used for shipping radioactive materials in March and October 2014 to companies in Midland, Texas and El Reno, Oklahoma.
Berthold Technologies has taken a plea bargain admitting that devices used to measure the density of fluids in natural gas fracking operations were shipped from Oak Ridge, Tennessee in improperly inspected containers, according to the Maryville Daily Times of Tennessee.
Berthold will work with US Department of Transportation to work out any problems that may have arisen with the devices shipped to customers in the past ten years.
