Texas Wind Generation Record for 2017 So Far; Capacity Growing: Recharge News
Wind generation was responsible for a record 20.7% of power consumption in Texas' main electric grid through June of this year, up from 15.1% for the entirety of 2016,.
The Electric Reliability Council of Texas continues to find ways to both reliably integrate increasing quantities of wind energy into its system operations and actively improve the power quality, Recharge News reports.
And the industry continues to add gigawatts of capacity in blustery regions of the state.
